A full-time job. A full-time college student. A dedicated father and husband who wanted to carve out just a little time for himself despite his overwhelming schedule. He asked a question that would make most people shake their heads, “I only have about 5 hours a week to train, do you think I can shoot for the state championship?”
KSP’s response? Why not? Sara designed a training protocol that maximized every minute he spent on the bike, and cut out unnecessary training. We turned his 5 hours a week into a sustainable routine and he got faster. The result? An A student, a happy family, and a state championship.

“I want to shift my focus to off-road duathlons, but I haven’t done much running.” No problem. For this particular athlete, it was a matter of developing his abilities in a whole new sport, and combining it with his experience as a cyclist. Sara started by fully understanding his strengths and weaknesses on the bike. Then, she carefully planned his training program so that he could use strengths to his advantage while still focusing on developing his running ability and addressing weaknesses on the bike.
In his first duathlon ever, he was second in his age group, a few minutes off of a professional racer. Solid age division wins followed!
