Joy solid as cyclocross season kicks off
Jen Joy, who recently upgraded to the women's open category in cyclocross racing, showed her mettle the last few weeks as she posted two third place finishes and a 2nd in her first three races of the season.
Joy was nervous about her new field: "I'm probably going to to be riding for my life in cross." Instead, she showed what a tough competitor she is by not only grabbing two podium finishes, but putting herself in 3rd place overall for the state championships.
