Henry nabs 3rd state title in 2009
Scott Henry, who has won the men's open state title in both the Texas Mountain Bike Race Association's cross-country and marathon series has captured a state road title. Henry, has won the men's age based title- in the men's 30-39 division. Henry, who is always a factor when he shows up to a road race, got away on a flyer and took an easy victory.
For Henry, it was a better end to a weekend that started out rough with a crash in the men's P/1/2 skill-based championships on Saturday. A huge crash took out nearly half the field on Saturday, "I got lucky- I went down and crashed hard, but managed to keep myself out of the worst of it." Aftera few quick adjustments to the bike, Henry managed to finish the race, but was disappointed not to have had a shot at the podium.
Congratulations are in order for Scott, who has worked hard all year and is now taking aim at the AMBC nationals in Ruston, LA October 24-25th.
